Well, as you can tell Summer time is here and it is hot, hot, hot, and it looks like it is going to be one of the hottest summers we have had in a long time. I hope you have somne family time carved out for you and the family to get away for a time of refreshment and relaxation.

One of the things that I cantinually preach and teach and hopefully practice is when we are on vacation or away from our “Faith Family” that we are sure to worship as a family together somewhere. Now with the internet like it is you can even gather the family around the computer and watch our services live on Sundays. Thanks Anthony and team for your efforts.

The question this month that I want to hear back from you on and I am also interested to know of options is this—when you are out of town what do you and your family do for worship time? I am interested in and would love to know what you do for vacation time worship…

Serving Regardless,

Pastor Jason

Lee and I were out of town for the 4th and we began our day by doing our daily Bible reading and having a time of prayer. We did not have a computer and we were in the outdoors camping and we just were in awe of God’s beautiful creation and just thanked Him and praised Him by our words and songs.. We also reflected on how good God is to us by allowing us to have things and when your camping and do not have the comforts of home, we are so thankful and grateful that we do have a home, and bed, food, jobs, cars, and money and so on.. We also know where all of this comes from, the Lord..

When we take our vacation at the end of this month, I will be attending a service in Panama City. I havent researched the churches yet, but since you posted this blog, I will get right on that. Thanks for reminding us Who is important and thanks for being a great pastor.

When working out of town I try to find services at local churches. If not, I always have my CD book full of sermons, teachings, etc. that I can listen to while I am driving. I do a lot of driving, praying, and listening to CD’s. I love being able to watch SHBC on the computer whenever I’m not able to be there. I’ve noticed recently that many hotels/motels have removed the Bibles from the rooms. I ask about it if I do not see one, and even though I may have my own, I will usually check out and find another place to stay if they do not have Bibles in the rooms. That may sound a little crazy but if you don’t believe the word of God, what DO you believe (and do I want to close my eyes and go to sleep near you)?

For the folks going to PCB, there used to be a WONDERFUL Noah’s Ark thing there and some group used to have concerts/services on the beach. Don’t know if still there but worth looking into.
